What is a N75Ω Type RF Connector
N75Ω type rf connectors are based on 50Ω N type rf connectors and are designed with a center contact size of 75Ω. Because of the difference in center contact size, it cannot be mated with 50Ω N type rf connectors. The relatively large body and threaded coupling method ensure secure coupling. It is sometimes referred to as NC type by other manufacturers.
Trivia: The Origin of N
- The connector is generally called Type-Navy, but it was invented in the 1940s by Paul Neal of Bell Laboratories in the US, and the name was taken from Neal's initials. It is sometimes called the Nancy connector to ensure the M connector is clear.

N75Ω Type RF Connector Features
Large Size
N75Ω connectors are relatively large among coaxial connectors. The large connector size enables connection to thick coaxial cables. Because of their excellent weather resistance, they are often used outdoors at mobile base stations.
Trivia: Coaxial Cable Thickness
- The thicker the coaxial cable, the less flexible it is, but the better the characteristics with less noise and loss. Usually, the longer the cable is, the worse the characteristics become, so the tendency is to select thicker cables.

N connectors are divided into 50Ω and 75Ω. Note that 50Ω and 75Ω type connectors cannot be combined.

No, it cannot be coupled with the 50Ω type N connector because the size of the center contact is different from that of the 50Ω type N connector.
