What is a 2.92mm K Type RF Connector
The 2.92mm type rf connector, also called the K type rf connector, is one of the high-performance miniature connectors for high frequencies up to 40 GHz. They are compatible with SMA type and 3.5mm type rf connectors, with an impedance of 50 Ω series and a threaded coupling method for secure coupling.

Cable with 2.92mmType RF Connector
High-performance cable with 2.92mm plugs or jacks on both ends and capable of up to 40 GHz. The total length is 300 mm to 1,000 mm. 1 piece can be made to order, and delivery time is 2 to 5 weeks depending on the production lot. 
Custom-order Semi-flexible Cables
Semi-flexible cable that supports frequencies from 18 to 40 GHz.It is a shape memory type and can be bent to some extent, but it is a coaxial cable with high shielding properties and low loss (attenuation).
Cables can be selected according to 3 types of thickness and presence/absence of coating.It can be attached to small connectors for high frequencies such as SMA, N, 2.92mm (K), and SMP.Compatible connectors differ for each cable, so please check the diagram below and contact us.

Semi-rigid cables for frequency bands from 18 to 50 GHz.This coaxial cable uses a seamless metal tube to ensure higher shielding and less attenuation than semi-flexible cables.

TC-048 40GHz compatible, High Frequency
TC-205 is a high-end cable for measurement at 40 GHz with low loss and high phase stability, triple-shielded and stable against bending and temperature, making it ideal for network analysis and other measurement applications.
Connectors can be selected from 2.92 mm (plug and jack), SMA (plug and jack), and 3.5 mm (plug and jack).
Non-magnetic 2.92 mm (plug) is also available.

TC-120 50GHz compatible, Low loss
TC-120 is a high-end 50 GHz compatible, low-loss, high-phase stability, precision grade cable with triple-shielded, bend-resistant, and temperature-stable characteristics, ideal for network analysis and other measurement applications.
Connectors can be selected from 2.4 mm (plug, jack), 2.92 mm (plug, jack), and SMA (plug, jack).
Non-magnetic 1.85 mm (plug and jack) is also available, but only up to 50 GHz. In addition to the standard type, an armored type with stainless steel tube reinforcement can be selected.

TC-054 60GHz compatible, High Flexibility
This is a 0.085-inch (RG405) equivalent cable that is highly flexible and maintains stable characteristics up to the millimeter wave band. It can be used in a wide range of applications due to its wide variety of compatible connectors and relatively low cost.
Connectors can be selected from 1.85 mm (plug), 2.92 mm (plug, jack), SMA (plug, L plug, jack), N (plug), and others on request.
The 1.85 mm cable core is pinned, allowing it to be utilized up to 60 GHz with very low reflection.

What is the difference between SMA and K connectors?
A
A. The inner conductor diameter of the 2.92mm K connector is 1.27mm, the same as the SMA connector and 3.5mm connector. It uses an air dielectric, the outer diameter is 2.92mm. This allows for an even higher waveguide mode cutoff frequency, achieving an operating frequency of DC to 40GHz.

Why is there a conversion connector for SMA connectors when it is compatible with SMA connectors?

SMA, 3.5mm, and 2.92mm are compatible and can be mated. Therefore between series adapters are useful at research facilities, universities, and other sites where severe measurements are required.

Are there connectors with higher frequency and smaller sizes?
A
SMA connectors are designed for 18 GHz, 3.5mm connectors for 26.5GHz, and 2.92mm K connectors for 40GHz, respectively.
