What is a TNC Type RF Connector
TNC type rf connectors have an impedance of 50Ω and are used for power transmission in radio equipment, etc. They are equivalent in size to BNC type rf connectors, and many of the products in our lineup have couplings that replace the BNC plug mating part. The threaded coupling method makes these connectors highly durable against shock and vibration.

Coupling Method
Connector with excellent durability against shock, vibration, etc., due to the threaded coupling method.
Impedance
TNC connectors have an impedance of 50Ω and are mainly used for power transmission in radio equipment, etc. When a 75Ω cable is used with a 50Ω type connector, it can be used with a 75Ω transmission line if the frequency is 200MHz or lower.

Why are there so many small lots of made-to-order products?
A
Many TNC plugs can be assembled by replacing the coupling with a BNC 50Ω plug. Since assembly can be done in about 1W after receiving an order, there are cases where a BNC50Ω plug can be assembled if available, even if it is not available in TNC's regular products.

Why is BNC stamped on TNC connectors?
A
Some TNC connectors are stamped with BNC because they are made from the same materials as BNC connectors.

Is there a way to make the cable assembly more inexpensive?
A
We have connectors with a crimp-type cable attachment. Although a crimping tool is required for the assembly, it is lighter and less expensive than the clamping type connectors. You do not need to purchase crimping tools if you request us to process the cable assembly.

TNC Waterproof connectors are available. IP level differs depending on the product.
