What is a H・BNC Type RF Connector
H・BNC type rf connectors are a smaller standard of BNC type rf connectors. They are compatible with connectors such as MICRO BNC and HD-BNC. Like BNC connectors, H・BNC connectors use the bayonet locking method for easy coupling, and the mating part is 75 Ω specification (50 Ω specification in some cases).
While maintaining the standard mating method of BNC type rf connectors, the compact size allows high-density mounting four times that of BNC connectors, and the minimum density practical limitation is 8mm when applied to an array.

No cables with H・BNC connectors are available in stock.
H・BNC Type RF Connector Features
Compact & High Performing
The compact appearance of the H・BNC connector allows for high-density mounting, four times that of BNC connectors, with a minimum pitch of 8 mm. It is also compatible with 12G-SDI, the current standard for high-definition and large-capacity image transmission. 4K equivalent signals can be transmitted over long distances with a single cable, and stable electrical characteristics can be obtained even in high-frequency bands.
Impedance
H・BNC connectors have an impedance of 75 Ω and are mainly used to transmit video and audio signals for TV receivers and other equipment. Some connectors can be coupled with 50Ω cables.
Coupling Method
The Bayonet lock method is an easy connection method that does not rely on threading and can be easily connected and disconnected.
Insert the plug into the jack by aligning it with the guide on the jack side, and rotate the ring slightly to lock it in place, and the internal spring force will hold it firmly in place.
It can be quickly removed by turning it slightly in the opposite direction, but since it is secured to the spring by a screw, it cannot be pulled out simply by pulling on the cable.
Trivia: The Origin of BNC
- There is a theory that Bayonet Neill Concelman comes from Bayonet and Neill Concelman (the name of the connector manufacturer), from which the name BNC was derived.
However, there are several theories as to the origin of the name, including that it simply stands for BayoNet Connector, Baby-series N Connector, and British National Connector.

H・BNC Type RF Connector FAQ
Q
Can they be mated with mini-BNC?
A
A. No, they cannot. In order of size, standard BNC > mini BNC > H・BNC.
Other manufacturers' connectors, such as Micro BNC and HD-BNC, are compatible.
Q
Is there an easy way to mate in a narrow pitch area?
A
Yes. Due to their miniaturization, H-BNC connectors can be used for high-density mounting in narrow pitches. This makes connector mating more difficult, but a dedicated tool enables smooth mating.
Q
What is the tool called "bit for round nut" used for?
A
A type of H-BNC, a receptacle for printed circuit boards, clamps the enclosure with a round nut. Since the nut is not hexagonal, it is difficult to tighten it by hand, so a tool called a bit for a round nut is used.
