Coaxial cables of extension (relay) and conversion
Coaxial cables are used not only for internal wiring within wireless communication equipment, but also for external wiring between wireless communication equipment, antennas, and other devices at various sites.
Therefore, they are called by various names such as antenna cables/TV cables/extension cables/relay cables/conversion cables.
The location of equipment and antennas vary from site to site, and in various cases, extension (relay) or conversion of coaxial cables is required. The method of extension/conversion differs depending on the case.

If extension (relay) and conversion cables are available | ① Use adapters for extension or relay |
② Use conversion connectors for extension and conversion |

If extension (relay) and conversion cables are not available | ① Use extension cables for extension or relay |
② Use conversion cables for extension and conversion |
Another option for extension could be replacing an old cable with a longer one.
If extension (relay) and conversion cables are available
① Use adapters for extension or relay
There are situations where the cable is not long enough depending on the location of the equipment or antenna and needs to be extended.
When the connector type between devices is the same and you have another cable at hand, extend the cable using an “extension (relay) adapter”.
Example: A device and an antenna both have N-jacks, and you have two cables with N-plug ends.
⇒ Purchase an additional extension (relay) adapter, NA-JJ.
② Use conversion connectors for extension and conversion
There are situations where the connector type differs between devices or antennas and the cable length is not long enough depending on the installation location, requiring an extension and conversion.
If the connector type is different between devices and you have another cable of a different type on hand, you can use a “conversion connector” to extend and convert the cable.
If you have another cable with a different type of connector, you can use a “conversion connector” to extend and convert the cable.
Example: A device has an N jack and an antenna has a BNC jack; you have one cable with both ends of an N plug and one cable with both ends of a BNC plug.
⇒Purchase an additional conversion connector, BNCJ-NJ.
If extension (relay) and conversion cables are not available
① Use extension cables for extension or relay
There are situations where the cable is not long enough depending on the location of the equipment or antenna and needs to be extended.
When the connector type between devices is the same and you have only one cable at hand, you can extend the cable by purchasing an additional “extension (relay) adapter” + “cable with plug connectors at both ends”.
However, the most efficient way is to extend the cable by adding an “extension cable with jack connectors" at one end.
Example: Equipment and antenna are both N-jacks and you have only one cable with N-plug ends.
⇒Purchase an additional cable with an N jack at one end and an N plug at the other end.
② Use conversion cables for extension and conversion
There are situations where the connector types differ between devices and antennas, and the cable length is insufficient due to the installation location, necessitating both extension and conversion.
When the connector types between devices differ and you only have one cable on hand, you can extend it by purchasing an additional "conversion connector" and a "cable with plug connectors" on both ends.
However, the most efficient method is to add a "conversion cable with a jack connector on one end" for both extension and conversion.
Example: equipment is N-jack, antenna is BNC-jack. only one cable with both ends of N-plug.
⇒Purchase an additional cable with an N jack on one end - BNC plug on one end.

Replacing an old cable with a longer one
Although it may feel a bit wasteful to discard the cable you have on hand, it is also possible to extend it by replacing it with a longer cable.
We have SMA, BNC, and N-type plug connectors attached to both ends, and we have up to 5m in stock.
We can also produce cables in various combinations and lengths, starting from a single cable.
Trivia :
Trivia:Be careful not to overextend
Generally, the longer the total length of the cable, the greater the loss. For external wiring, in particular, thicker cables with less loss are selected. The longer the extension distance, the more critical the cable selection becomes.
